- I figured that there would be hickups in restoring
the 606 but figured it would involve more esoteric
parts than the seat. |

Box Label |

Opening an looking in the box, first thing I see is
that the cusion is loose in there, not in a bag or
anything, and it looked like the edge was rubbed. |

After removing from
the box and upon closer inspection, it appears that
the manufacturer left the edge of the plywood sharp
(did not relieve the edge) and rattling around in
the carton wore or tore the edge. |

Inspecting the bottom,
it looked like someone had screwed in rusty bolts to
a couple of unused holes in the plywood. Perhaps
this was a returned part? |

I actually was willing
to overlook the flaws but even though the customer
service person assured me that this was the correct
seat cushion, it is obviously not. |

This is tough, not flexible at all, steel. There may
be 1/4" flex at best. |

- The seat back cushion arrived today. It was packaged
securely and wrapped in protective plastic.
Unfortunately, it did not fit either. In this case, the
curvature of the cushion backing material did match the
curvature of the fiberglass back.
Before ordering, I checked and was assured that these parts
would work. However, upon receipt, they did not. I
documented the situation (see photos below) and contacted
the support person I had been working with. They were very
responsive and emailed me a return address label for the
cushions. |
